Nice song, Gary! Very easy to pick up for the congregation, and it's one I think we could use throughout the year, even Christmas (Emmanuel). Thanks for sharing it!
Great work, Gary! I listened to it twice about 30 minutes ago and it's still running through my head. Very singable for the congregation. I like how you move from images of radiance & heaven to US gathered. I like that you bring the 'radiance' image back in the bridge. And like Bkwestman I was struck by the possibility of using this during Advent; I heard the song completely differently through that filter, and it still works.
In FACT, I may plan on using it this December. We are immersing the whole season in the theme of light. Hmmmm....
Sound good man! Good congregational catchy-ness, nice melody. I agree with the use during the Advent season, may be even something during a candle-lighting. Personally I would like to hear a high electric guitar work through it, but that's just me. Love the song though, God's definately given you a gift.
I also like the aspect of going to heaven, then brining heaven to earth. 'Glory to God' isn't just an ethereal idea, but the incredible reality of our lives, and the purpose we live for.
