Word Wednesday .::46

Word Wednesday is posted every Wednesday. Each week I post a scripture that I've read that week that has spoken to me in a fresh way. I believe that if we read God's Word every day, He will give us at least one scripture every week that will impact us. Sharing Scripture with each other is like iron sharpening iron. Leave a comment and share a scripture that has impacted you this week.

Here's the scripture that stuck this week:

I Corinthians 8:1-3 ESV

1 Now concerning food offered to idols: we know that “all of us possess knowledge.” This “knowledge” puffs up, but love builds up.

2 If anyone imagines that he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know.

3 But if anyone loves God, he is known by God.

It's a well-known belief that success is not about what you know, but about who you know. To know God is to understand that you are known by God. The closer we get to Him, the bigger He becomes to us. The closer we get to Him, the more we realize how small we are. Humility happens and, all of a sudden, we don't know as much as we thought. It's simple...love God.

What's your Word?

Psalm 71:18 has become my life verse in these later years of my life because it reflects my love for the youth in our culture and passion for making Christ known to the next generation. Here it is:
"Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God,till I declare your power to the next generation,your mighty acts to all who are to come."
