Something I just read

I just read a blog post from one of my friends from high school. They have a beautiful daughter that has had a rough go at things in her health. Her name is Abbie Grace (pictured), and she's beautiful. You can go here to read more. At the top of their blog, it states: "All things created by God are perfect even if we don't see it that way. Abbie was created to be our "perfect" 1p36 gift! James 1:17 "Every good gift and perfect gift is from above." That should inspire all of us to worship. I always thank God for health. Not so much perfect health, but health in general. When we do anything at all, we should thank God for the ability to do it. Sure, there maybe some that can do more we can, and there are always some that can do less, no matter what your situation. We must be positive. There is so much negativity, and pessimism in our culture right now, and the election is helping anything. Our answer lies with and from God. May that statement never become cliche in our hearts. One of my favorite old songs is "The Sold Rock". It starts by saying, "My hope is built on nothing less that Jesus' blood and righteousness." We have a choice. We can look down or up. Jesus has given us a gift. We are free to live, love, and laugh, with the confidence in nothing less than the cross. Thanks Kim, for your attitude and spirit, and your example for your kids.

THANK YOU GARY. ABBIE HAS BEEN A BLESSING TO US. WE CONTINUE TO LEARN FROM HER EACH DAY! GOD HAS A PLAN FOR EVERYONE OF OUR LIVES. WE JUST HAVE TO BE WILLING TO GO WITH IT. WEATHER WE ARE IN HIS WILL OR NOT, HIS PLAN WILL BE ACOMPLISHED. IT IS SO MUCH MORE FULFILLING TO BE IN THE WILL AND SEE THE GREAT PLAN THEN WALK OUR WILL AND END UP IN HIS PLAN! I KNOW ABBIE HAS TOUCHED MANY LIVES AND WILL CONTINUE TO TOUCH MANY MORE. SHE HAS A BIGGER TESTIMONY THEN MOST OF US AND IS ONLY 2 1/2 YRS OLD. WE HAVE ALWAYS SAID, "ABBIE IS HERE FOR PEOPLE TO SEE JESUS." I'M SURE THERE IS MORE TO IT THEN THAT BUT I HONESTLY BELIEVE THAT IS HER MAIN REASON FOR EXISTING! I HOPE YOU CONTINUE TO FOLLOW OUR JOURNEY WITH HER THROUGH THE BLOG AND I WOULD LOVE FOR YOU GUYS TO MEET HER ONE DAY. THANKS AGAIN.

When Amy was Pregnant with Josh, they did a blood test that indicated that there was some chance that he might have had Down Syndrome, and the doctor wanted to do an amneosentisis to find out for sure. Amy asked him, why? He said then we would know for sure and she could decide what she wanted to do. I asked about the risks of the procedure, and he said there was some small chance of miscarriage as a result, so I looked at Amy and said, well, it's not going to change anything either way, so why take the risk. She looked at the doc and said, no thanks. She was still pretty upset though. The verse that really brought us a lot of comfort in that time was Psalm 139:14 "I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well." Of course, Josh doesn't have Down Syndrome, but even if he did, he would have been fearfully and wonderfully made.
