Elvis, House, and Ronald Reagan

Those who know me well, know my love of documentaries. One of the best channels we get is the Biography Channel. I can pretty much sit and watch a documentary on anyone. This afternoon, I vegged and watched a couple doc's on Elvis...I kinda knew a lot of that stuff. Then I watched one on Hugh Laurie, who plays the role of House. I love that show, so that was an interesting one...really talented guy. Now, I'm watching one on Ronald Reagan...I'm not into politics, but like I said, I can watch the history of pretty much anyone. Evidently, he started his political views being known as a "left-wing democrat"...never thought of him as that.

Do you like documentaries?

It's funny, I love Documentaries, but I've never really gotten into the Biography Channel.

As far as Ronald Reagan, it's interesting because he did start out as a Democrat, and one of the things he famous for is at the time he switched to being a Republican he said, "I didn't leave the Democratic Party, the Democratic Party left me." I went into that quite bit deeper a few weeks ago on my own blog, a post I called "The Shifted Scale" I think it was.

I don't really have anything else to add now, but I'm not sure if my comment is longer than your post yet, so...

I like documentaries, conspiracy theory things, and history stuff.. I guess a lot of that is mixed together sometimes.

I'm right there with you--pretty much could watch a biography of a gas station attendant from Cleveland. Another addictive show is 'How It's Made'. Hot dogs, pencils, car tires...FINALLY, television is giving us something worthwhile. Another great true-life TV show is 'Dirty Jobs'. Love that.
