Worship Confessional 08.17.08

Healer, Healer, Healer. This song is it right now. It seems like there's one song every year that takes the cake, and I think Healer is this year's song. God is using this song all over the world, and today our church finally got introduced to it. It was powerful. This is a song that our church needs right now. I'm sure, like a lot of churches out there, people are hurting and broken. There are broken families, broken marriages, and people that are going through physical illness. God gave me a verse last night that I quoted this morning. It's Jeremiah 17:14 - "Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise." We look for healing and rescue in the wrong places sometimes, but when we go to the Lord, we experience true healing.

The sermon was on faithfulness, so we focused on God's faithfulness in our worship set. Here's the set list:

"Unchanging" - Chris Tomlin
"Healer" - Hillsong
"Great is Thy Faithfulness" - HYMN
"Forever" - Chris Tomlin

This also a contribution Sunday Setlists.

Yeah I love Healer. I'm hesitant to add it to mix because I hate being trendy - but that's a stupid reason not to introduce a song to your congregation, so it's still on my list of possible new tunes.
