Word Wednesday .::1

So, I am a huge proponent of daily Bible reading. God's Word is powerful and life=changing, and we've got to take advantage of it. It can be a lifeline for us. Whenever I teach about this, I always say that if you read the Bible everyday, you should have at least one scripture or verse a week that sticks out and sticks in your heart. So, I thought I would bring this idea to my blog world. Every Wednesday, I'm going to post scripture(s) that has helped me, and I hope it encourages whoever reads this. If you read my blog regularly at all, I'd love to hear from you every week what scripture has helped you. I give you "Word Wednesday".

Right now I'm in the Psalms, and as a worship leader, it's like an amusement park of scriptures. It's been said that the Psalms is the text book for worship leaders. I ran across a scripture that I just can't get past. I wrote a song using it. I'm not sure if the song is a keeper or not, the scripture is awesome. It is Psalms 43:3, "Send out your light and your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling!"

After reading this, I really meditated on how God sends His light and truth to me, and the fact that if I pursue truth and be in His light, they will bring me into His life-altering presence.

What's your Word?
