When you think of the 80's what do you think of? I think of tight-rolled, stone-washed jeans. I think of jams (long ugly shorts). I think of Nintendo, not N64, not Super Nintendo, not Game Cube, I'm talkin' about the original Duck Hunt, Super Mario Bros. Nintendo. Probably the biggest thing I think of is my introduction to the Boston Celtics with Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, and Dennis Johnson. I spent a lot of the 80's being a huge Boston Celtics, Larry Bird super fan. Somewhere, I think my Mom still has a storage tub full of Celtics shirts and hats. When you talk about Larry Bird and the Celtics, you have to think about Magic Johnson and the Lakers. Twenty years later, here we are. Tonight is Game 1 of the NBA Finals featuring the Boston Celtics vs. the Los Angeles Lakers. NBA executives are giddy with dollar signs in their eyes tonight, because this will probably bring some old fans back to the game, as well as some new fans. I honestly think this will be a pretty evenly matched series. Tonight I will be finally watching my Celtics play for a championship for the first time in 20 years. Go Boston!
